# Marbles > A window full of glass marbles that pile against its edges, roll under the pointer and turn over when you press. A real-time WebGPU experiment by Luis Bizarro. A few hundred glass marbles in four sizes, from small ones to big shooters, pour into the browser window and pile against its edges. The pointer pushes through the pile. Pressing turns the box over: gravity flips upward, the marbles tumble onto the ceiling and fall back on release, and each press brings in the next set (Vintage cat's eyes and swirls, Clearies, Onyx and aventurine, Candy), fading marble by marble outward from the click. Moving the browser window shakes the box, and on phones and tablets tilting the device steers gravity. The physics runs entirely on the GPU in compute shaders, and every marble is raytraced: Fresnel reflection of a studio, refraction with absorption, procedural interiors that turn with the marble, air bubbles, and shadows and coloured caustics on the paper behind. - Live: https://marbles.bizar.ro/ (needs WebGPU: a recent Chrome, Edge or Safari) - Built with: Raw WebGPU and WGSL, TypeScript and Vite. - Author: Luis Bizarro, creative technologist and real-time 3D developer for the web ## Author Luis Bizarro builds real-time 3D for the web with WebGL and WebGPU: shaders, interactive scenes and award-winning creative websites.
